The Caterpillar Foundation supported ASA Foundation STEM Education Development for Senior High Schools program is picking up pace with the third Training of Trainer (ToT) workshop recently conducted to another batch of 30 STEM teachers in Klapa Nunggul, West Java, Indonesia.
Supporting UN SDGs 4 (Quality Education) and 5 (Gender Equality), the 20 female and 10 male teachers are being trained, educated, and empowered on an engineering curriculum which they can deliver to their student groups in schools on a weekly basis while we conduct regular mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation activities to measure programming impact over a 2 year period.
We have already reached out to 50 teachers in Batam and 60 teachers in Klapa Nunggul with another 150 Batam-based teachers confirmed to join us across 3 more Training of Trainer workshop programs in July so watch this space as we target 260 teachers and 20,000+ student beneficiaries!
Many thanks to Caterpillar Foundation for all their help and support!
