ASA Foundation, Vestas and RBPN Empowering Communities through Pencak Silat!

12 July 2024

Supported by Vestas and RBPN, ASA Foundation’s "Empowerment through Pencak Silat" program harnesses the traditional martial art of Pencak Silat to promote physical fitness, mental discipline, and gender equality across Garut in Indonesia. Participants are engaging in rigorous training that enhances strength, endurance, and flexibility, while also incorporating meditation and visualization techniques to foster focus and emotional balance.

Additionally, the program equips individuals with essential life skills such as goal-setting, problem-solving, and effective decision-making, preparing them to navigate everyday challenges with confidence and resilience.

A fundamental pillar of our program is championing gender equality. We address gender stereotypes and biases, creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Through open dialogue and the celebration of female Pencak Silat practitioners, we inspire women and girls to break barriers and pursue their dreams. Building a supportive community, our program encourages mentorship and peer support, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual encouragement.

Join us in empowering lives and building a future where health, life skills, and gender equality are accessible to all through the timeless art of Pencak Silat.
