On 18–19 April 2026, the S.A.F.E. (Sport Against Female Exploitation) Project conducted a ToT Refresher Workshop in Jakarta, bringing together 30 male and female sport teachers from across Greater Jakarta.
The workshop was attended by Kaixin, Marketing Manager of Decathlon Indonesia, Monica from Talk Cloud, and also Fatur representing Decathlon. The sessions were facilitated by ASA Foundation’s Master Coaches, Coach Tian and Coach Stella.
Over two days, the workshop focused on strengthening teachers’ capacity as S.A.F.E. facilitators through reflection, skills reinforcement, and practical sport for education development application. Key topics included gender equality, gender-based violence (GBV) prevention, safe space facilitation, and appropriate, trauma-informed responses to student disclosures.
Participants also engaged in Edu-Sport activities (futsal, basketball, and volleyball) designed to promote gender equality, prevention of violence, inclusion, teamwork, leadership, and respectful behavior among students.
This workshop supports teachers in delivering more effective, inclusive, and safe learning environments, while reinforcing the role of sport as a tool to prevent GBV and empower young people.
