Inclusive Sport for All: Advancing Inclusion Through Sport and Sustainability

5 August 2026

On 5 August 2025, ASA Foundation, in partnership with Avery Dennison, brought Inclusive Sport for All to SLB Negeri 01 Jakarta, engaging 74 children with disabilities, including children who are deaf and children with intellectual disabilities.

For Avery Dennison SG Indonesia, this initiative truly put Avery Dennison’s core value of Inclusive into action demonstrating that real inclusion goes far beyond simply inviting people to participate; it means building supportive spaces where everyone has the opportunity to play, learn, connect, and thrive.

The programme combined inclusive football activities with a circular economy workshop, where participants repurposed materials into bowling sets and mini basketball games. These activities encouraged teamwork, creativity, and confidence while introducing sustainability through play.

The initiative was supported by 15 Avery Dennison staff volunteers, who actively assisted throughout the activities and helped create an inclusive and supportive environment for every participant.

“Seeing the children laugh, connect, and learn with us was truly memorable. This experience taught me to be more patient, attentive, and supportive reminding me that children with disabilities don’t need our pity, but our support to help them discover and reach their full potential.”
— Avery Dennison Volunteer

“Today’s inclusive activities showed how diversity can bring us together. Seeing students with different abilities collaborate enthusiastically with volunteers was truly meaningful and beneficial for their confidence, teamwork, and motivation.”
— Sugianto, Vice Principal for Student Affairs, SLB Negeri 01 Jakarta

“I really loved today’s activity, especially making basketballs and bowling pins out of paper and decorate them and make them uniquely my own.”
— Salwa, Deaf Student, SLB Negeri 01 Jakarta

Through this collaboration, ASA Foundation and Avery Dennison SG Indonesia continue to create meaningful opportunities for children with disabilities through sport, sustainability, and community engagement.
